Growthtrac (GrowthNet)
was launched in January 2000 to address the needs of Jim
and Sheri's mentor couples, engaged in the pre-marriage program
at their church. Initially, Growthtrac was six pages of resources
and links, tightly focused on marriage preparation. Jim and
Sheri would refer their couples to the site where they would
find content relevant to their pre-marriage process, including
topics on sexual purity, blended family, communications, conflict
resolution and marriage expectations.
And because many of these couples were seekers or new Christians,
Growthtrac provided introductions to Christianity, small group,
baptism, ministry participation, spiritual gifts and next steps.
A year later, the site name officially changed to Growthtrac.
By now Growthtrac's audience had expanded well beyond the walls
of Jim and Sheri's mentoring ministry. Growthtrac underwent
a major facelift including significant visual changes and a
re-design to accommodate expanded marriage content and new interactive
features.
An advisory board was formalized, bringing to the table experts
in a wide range of disciplines.
Accomplishing the goal of improved usability, a second re-design
was completed in 2004.
Growthtrac's passion for 'doing marriage right' drove the development
of two exciting external ministries Church
marriage ministry consulting and marriage
enrichment events serving the local church with personal,
hands-on marriage ministry.
Today, Growthtrac is a global Christian
marriage organization touching thousands with encouragement
and guidance through the very best articles, exclusive interviews,
events, studies, and community.
Growthtrac's purpose and passion
remain the same: to inform and equip married men and women,
and those preparing for marriage, with products, content and
services revealing the transforming power of the Gospel. Growthtrac
is committed to maintaining a high bar on excellence, creativity
and relevance.
