The Divine Permission
While God desires that a husband and wife stay together until death,
He permitsdivorce in some circumstances. Three Bible passages give
us His guidelines on this matter. They are: Deuteronomy
24:1-4, Matthew 19:1-10, and 1
Corinthians 7:10-16. We will study each passage, taking into
consideration the historical situation, the permission given, and
the restriction imposed.
