Please pray for my husband. As some of you may know from my other posts, my husband and I have a rocky relationship and he suffers from chronic pain...Well late last week, his maternal aunt called to tell him that she received a forwarded mother's day card from his sister to his mom (deceased earlier this year) wanting to talk - they have not seen each other for almost 30 years and I have never met the sister etc...She does not know her mother died. Both she and my husband were specifically excluded from the estate (the majority went to a "friend"). My husband was left with all the junk in the house - I got to deal with - so the friend could sell the family home. Anyway, he has to meet her and tell her and open all those old wounds of living with an abusive mother, disfunctional family etc. The good is that maybe they can reconcile and maybe my husband will now see his need for counseling. But of course this is emotional (which he prefers to ignore) and stressful (which increases his pain). Please pray for them all and for me to know how to support him

Lord, I lift this family up in prayer to you. You know their needs and you know their fears. May this brother and sister be able to set aside the past, walk toward healing and reconciliation, and start building a relationship again. May you take away their fears and help them to grow and understand each other. In Christ's name -

Thank you for your prayers. My husband and I met his sister and her family. It went very well and we hope to stay in touch. It was also good for my husband and his sister to be able to validate the hate and rage they experienced from their mother.
