HELP!!!

Thank you Sam & Babycakes for your words of encouragement and caution. One thing I have asked of the Lord is that He help me to always guard my heart against bitterness, to help me have a repentant heart because anything less means one is in a backslidden state without even knowing it. I am a very strong-willed person, vocal when I don't like something but very quick to forgive.

I honestly believe my husband should not have my house. However if the Lord allows that to happen I'm not going to be bent out of shape about it. The law is currently dealing with it, if he gets it, it will be from them. I'm not offering it. I'm currently in fasting and prayer regarding this whole situation and I know God is in control. He called me yesterday, he said he doesn't care about my house! He offered less than half the amount of maintenance asked for our little girl. He said if I accept that he'll leave my house alone.

I discussed it with my lawyer and I'm holding his offer before the Lord. I trust God that this will end soon so I can help rebuild my child's well-being. Please pray that the divorce process doesn't drag forever. My prayer is we have agreements by the 1st court appearance and that all will end then. Please pray for our families as well particularly his mother. I was talking to her the other and she was crying. Please pray for God's strength upon her life.

At church last night we started a study on the book of James. You've probably read through James 1:2 before. But each time you do, it takes on new meaning.

One thing that struck me last night is God's goodness. He doesn't say we won't have trials, in fact he says we will. But during those trials we will develop perserverance, character and wisdom, we only have to ask for it!
God's goodness shines through because we only need to ask and he is willing to give us wisdom.

Each trial is an opportunity to learn and grow. When we look back on some of the biggest trials in our lives, we have usually grown and gained wisdom from them. It's grows us up and hopefully develops character in us that is more like Christ. And... ultimately that is God's desire - for us to become more Christlike.

I have lifted everyone up in prayer again this morning and will be more than happy to do so.

I know sometimes you just need to vent. That's OK, were glad you're here and able to do so. I'm sure there are days that just are all out overwhelming. Come here and ask for whatever prayer you need.

Thanks Sam. I told my prayer group a couple of weeks ago that I love growthtrac members because they keep one grounded. I actually like being reminded to stay in God's will. Babycakes thank you to you too.
