Pre-marriage prerequisites - Before marriage requirements in a mate

If you are engaged or even married, please share what your prerequisites were before deciding to marry that person. What qualities or requirements did that person or did you relationship have to have before making the commitment to get married?

There are so many where do you start?

My recommendation is to list the 10 qualities you wish in a mate and the 10 qualities you do not want in a mate. Then stick to it and do not compromise.

The book listed below is a great resource and expands on this concept.

How To Know If Someone Is Worth Pursuing In Two Dates Or Less

Caring, loving, romantic, solid family background, being a Christian, financially responsible are some.

Things to watch for would be the opposite of those items above as well as someone who is critical, sarcastic, rolls their eyes when you offer an opinion, makes demeaning remarks, is easily defensive and lack of eye contact with you or others.
