Hey all. I just wanted to encourage anyone out there who might have a spouse that has walked out and tell you that you CAN be a light to them. Here's the story.
God allowed me to be in the same place at the same time tonight with my sweet wife. As my friend and I were about to finish our meal I noticed what appeared to be my wife in the distance (another room in the restaurant). What excites me the most is that God (definitely me) controlled my emotions, actions, and response to that situation. He definitely filled my head with thoughts of Hosea and the sacrifice that He wants me to make for the sake of my wife. Anyone that knows me can tell you that I hold on to a penny like it owes ME money (haha). Well, God put on my heart to pay her bill. I honestly dont know who she was with or what she was doing and I really dont care. All I know is that God is awesome and allowed me to show her His love in a situation that might have turned out differently.
GOD IS AMAZING!!!!!! He is the only way through this. Im praying for all of you as you struggle within your marriages. Thanks to all of you who have and are stil praying for mine.

That's an awesome story.
Have you ever gone back and had a conversation with your mother-in-law?
I'm still here and still praying for you - both. |

I did....she is still on the fence. Of course, that has been her way to handle things her entire life.
Unfortunately I really believe that my wife is heading towards divorce. She is still not interested in talking about repairing anything and has become more and more distant. The one thing I do know is that God is yelling at her heart....its so obvious to everyone but her. The more people pray the angrier she gets about everything. I am just sitting here waiting for her to "pop."
Anyway....NEVER GIVE UP! To God, ALL things are possible! |

I just finished reading a new book by Jimmy Evans this past week called, "Our Secret Paradise".
The author really does not mince words about the #1 reason for divorce being disappointment - not sex, not money and not communication.
He also speaks a great deal about Satan's involvement in destroying Christian marriages because a Christian marriage is the next closest thing to the Trinity. Marriage was formed before God formed the church.
He also talks very directly about how our "God condition" has a direction correlation to the condition of our marriage.
Anyway, I've read so many book that dance around this issue and rather enjoyed Mr. Evans no nonsense approach. |

| Thanks SAM I just might pick it up....I am also disappointed at how many of the "christians" that are surrounding my wife are not only ok with her choice but are supporting her departure. I can imagine that it would be difficult for her to come out of this as long as she is surrounded by such a spiritually dividing element. |

I am so sorry for your pain and I know you know that you and your wife have been in my prayers for months and will continue to do so.
As Christians, it's amazing how we can compromise scripture to meet out own needs and agenda's. God's book is a very good guide for life, but when it doesn't fit what we want to do, it's amazing how His truth is stringent and unbending and too rigid. If we open our eyes and ears to His word, His truth sets us free from our own desire to self-destruct.
When he she supposed to go on her mission trip? I want to pray for her time away. |
