Kind of hard to believe a child would do this in front of their peers, but she may have been trying to show you who is boss - her. I have one daughter who always does what I ask and another daughter who pushes the limits.
Sounds like you have your hands full. I know I need my hubby to help and maybe it's time to talk with yours about his influence and contribution to helping with the kids. They need his guidance and godly influence too.
Some great books -
Parenting by the Spirit: Yes, You Can Be the Parent God Designed You to Be--Raising Godly Children in a Godless World by Sally Hohnberger, Tim Canuteson, and Julie Canuteson
Habits of a Child's Heart: Raising Your Kids With the Spiritual Discipline by Valerie E. Hess and Marti Watson Garlett
Five Things I Did Right and Five Things I Did Wrong in Raising Our Children: Lessons Learned Looking Back by Sarah O. Maddox
My favorite is -
The Five Love Languages of Children by Gary D. Chapman and Ross Campbell
And, an oldie but goodie is: The New Dare to Discipline by James Dobson |
