I have prayed for work for you this morning and for your marriage. My husband and I have walked this path recently, he was out of work for 10 months last year. It is stressful, but God does provide and will grow you through this time.
For your wife, it can mean that her sense of security has been compromised. For you, it means everything as a man to have a job and provide for your family. It is a time to come together and pray each day that a job will come your way, one that will provide, one that will meet your financial needs, one that you will love and one that God wants you to be in.
I had to support our family after the unemployment ran out. What was amazing, is every single month, I would be worrying about how to pay the mortgage. I would be waiting for checks to come in the mail. Exactly, on the 15th of each month, the last day to make our payment before a late fee would be charged, just enough would arrive in the mail to make the payment. It was amazing to watch God provide.
My husband was on the phone every day for several hours, or computer or networking and letting people know he was looking for a job. It gave me a sense of security just knowing he was trying everyday - even when he was feeling pretty low about himself. |
