I agree, my heart breaks with our Father's heart over the lack of obiedience in marriage to Him, especially in regards to believers. If you review the message previous to my first message, you might understand why I am saying what I am saying. I believe when we give encouragement as believers, it needs to be from the Lord, scripture based, nothing else. That's all I'm saying. I strongly agree with your points, they are true as true can be, and I appreciate them, truely, I do.
You can have a "good" marriage apart from God, but you will never be fullfilled, God is our fullfillment, our forgiveness, our source of strength and encouragment. My point is that God has pre-destined our lives Psalm 139, and only He knows how our lives will play out, Salvation and not salvation, marriage, children, and so on. As long as we remain as believers faithful to His word, obiedient, we are doing what He has asked of us and He has control of our marriages, with a believing spouse or not.
No marriage is perfect, no life is perfect, only Christ's. In saying that, Jesus speaks in His word that there will be trials and persecution and so on in a believers life, and that will have an effect on our marriages. But with Christ as the center, we have a focus, we will be "anxious for nothing" and will focus on "pure, right, noble, true, etc.." things, where as an unbelieving marriage would not. We have a Fullfillment that they don't, that's the difference. That's a PRAISE for us who have it! and a continuous prayer for God to strengthen it and mold it into how He wants it to be. |
