I've heard some good things about a book by Dr. Kevin Lehman called, "First Time Mom".
One of my all-time favorites by Dr. James Dobson is "Parenting Isn't for Cowards."
As for other parenting books :
1) The Christian Mom's Answer Book by Sandra P. Aldrich
2) The Complete Book of Christian Parenting & Child Care: A Medical & Moral Guide to Raising Happy, Healthy Children
by William Sears, Martha Sears, William, M.D. Sears "During the final months of your pregnancy or early months of parenthood, it's important to consider what parenting style you're going to adopt..." (more)
SIPs: mother burnout, sharing sleep, child feel right, your fussy baby, junk sugar (more)
3) The Complete Parenting Book: Practical Help From Leading Experts
by David, Dr. Stoop
4) What to Expect When You're Expecting, Third Edition by Heidi Murkoff
5) Pregnancy for Dummies by Joanne Stone, Keith Eddleman, Mary Duenwald (Not a Christian written book, but it really has some very detailed information that is quite good.)
