I went for the early marriage deal. I just wasn't happy without my Love in my life...physically. I tried to be apart from him, but it was too hard. Phone conversations would just turn into bad ideas...it didn't fill what my heart was longing for. So, soon after college we were married...it seems to have been a good thing too, becuase God has blessed us with children already (we've been married 1yr.9mos.)! We haven't even had our second anniversary yet but we're expecting our second child (I heard Kirk Cameron and his wife did the same thing with the stairstep children...anybody know anything else about that? I'd love to talk with his wife if it's true). I'm just glad I'm young and able to bear these kids in my youth.
Family life has put a damper on my professional career...but think about it. Aren't we supposed to be doing things in this world that will last throughout eternity? I'd much rather be a stay-at-home-Mom where I can invest all of me into my kids AND lead them to Christ and help them follow Him with their whole hearts for the rest of their lives on earth than achieve the highest position possible in my field of work while trying to balance raising kids and minister to my husband correctly...that's too much stress for me. =) God's way is peaceful...
So I'm glad that I got married early and started my family. I feel that your family is the most important thing aside from your relationship with God. He instituted it and I'm glad I could place it as a priority in my life when I'm young and have the energy to do it without having too many other things pulling at me also.
