Hello all! I have been MIA for a bit. This summer has been very hot and humid and we have no air-conditioning. I am also two weeks away from my due date. I will never again be pregnant through the summer! Oh, how wrethched!
Anyhow, our daughter Emmie with the JRA (arthritis) just finally got the long awaited drug, Enbrel. It has been a year of waiting. It is a hard to get drug. It is a twice a week injection and supposed to be the "miracle" drug for juvenile rheumatoid arthirits. We just started it last night and was able to take her off the Methotrexate, which being a chemotherapy was making her sick. Please pray that this Enbrel works for her. Thanks.
Also, the first job my husband was trying for fell through. I believe God just didn't want him there even though we thought we did. Now he has been offered a part-time position at UPS. This is a great company to work for, but it can take two years before you get your own route, hence two years before you go full-time. He has a full-time job right now, but it is un-stable and low-paying. Please pray that God moves His hand here and can provide a quick, supernatural promotion to full-time status at UPS quickly? Thanks again.

It is nice to know that God is helping your daughter partially through the skills, knowledge, and wisdom of doctors. It nice to know that Luke was a doctor, and that God works through people. |

I'm glad the medicine finally came through.
My cousin with JRA is doing so very well with her health; and I know the Lord loves Emmie! I have high, high hopes for your little one. |

Kelly,
I've been away from the boards for awhile, have you had that baby?
I have prayed for Emmie and your family. I know Methotrexate is a nasty drug, my mother-in-law takes it too.
