RJ, FaithHopeJoy, SAM, did I miss anyone?

I haven't had much time to get on here and read so I'll get caught up next week hopefully. We are moving back home, and as much as I hate leaving here, I need to be near my kids. We are so tired today after all the packing and loading with no help, and will be driving back tomorrow (about 20 hours). Please pray for a safe trip and for me, that I can drive those many hours, I'm not used to that. I get tired easier than he does and he likes to drive and drive and drive!!!

Hope everyone has a good week!

And SAM, I agree with everyone else, you and your husband have an awesome ministry, and all the time and effort you put into reading and answering all the posts is very much appreciated!

SuzieQ,

I will pray for you to have safe and peaceful travel. 20 hours can be an awful long trip. I am happy you will be closer to your children. That will be a blessing. I have packed a house up by myself, but I can't imagine doing the loading on my own. You are once strong woman!

God bless you and be with you.

Jeannie,

Thanks for your prayers, they are much appreciated!

I have to confess, my bf loaded quite a bit by himself because I couldn't do it!! But, looking at the long trip ahead, I'm claiming that I AM strong!!! Smile

Will "talk" to you all soon. Have a great week and weekend!

Everyone,

Thank you for your prayers, I sure felt them! It amazed me that I was able to drive long hours those 2 days!! I had a Mark Lowry comedy cd that I played A LOT, which helped.

Now I'm in back Texas in the heat Sad (I got nauseous my first night back because of the heat). I sure miss the nice weather we were having in Chicago! My kids are here and it's good that I'm back to be near them, but I sure don't like the weather here!

SusieQ,

Been gone for a while on a mini vacate myself. So glad to hear that you made it safe and sound. Good ole Texas. Yes, I'm a Texan. We were transplanted ourselves 5 years ago to upper Mississippi. I miss my beloved Texas but not the heat. I was brought up around Houston but had moved near Waco for the last 19 years. Where are you located at now? We go back there constantly because all our family is there. One thing though, I don't mean to bring on a downer, but you think it's hot now, wait until July and August!!!!!! The Fall and Winter are nice though. I pray you will be shown true southern hospitality. Get ready to hear "ya'll", and eating great food. It truly is a "Country in and of itself". There are alot of wonderful places to visit. Let me know if I can help in any way, OK? We were up in Dayton, Ohio. I was very impressed with the area and the people.

Well, I guess you're having the fun of unpacking. "Shudder". I do not envy you, dear sister. I still remember living out of boxes for a while. Try not to feel so overwhelmed. I found, for me being the type of person who wants it done now, that just dealing with a few boxes a day to be not so taxing. What was so hard is when someone couldn't find a particular something. It got a little crazy, even though I had organized it to the max. My perfectionist mode tends to drive me nuts sometimes. I am my own worst enemy at times.

Anyway, just breathe and take long baths at the end of the day. Keep us informed how it is going. We're praying for ya.

RJ,

What a coincidence! Back in Houston, but I was born and raised in Waco! I moved to Houston years ago when I got married, stayed when I divorced. I agree with you about the weather, I DO NO like the heat, I much prefer the colder weather! I miss Chicago, I love it there, wonderful church, the weather, friends. I do not like Houston really but I missed my kids, and my youngest daughter is going into high school this next year. My sons are grown and I have another daughter in college.

So you used to be in Ohio but are now in Mississippi? Where did you vacation?

You should see this house, it's awful right now! At least we've cleared it out enough we can walk without running into boxes! I'm like you, a perfectionist, but I've learned to deal with it. I have Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue and just can't do what I used to do. I don't look forward to going back to work because I know I'll be tired, but I have to. I need to see my dr. and get some more of my supplements I've run out of - if I keep up with that I feel pretty good. Hot baths are good and I have a good meditation cd that I listen to for stress. I've had so much trouble with anxiety and depression that I will probably have to get back on an anti-depressant, and I hate to, but I have to function.

How are things going for you?

Thanks everyone again for all your prayers, the trip back was not bad at all, and I was amazed that I was able to drive long hours those 2 days, I really felt the prayers! I'm so thankful that I have this site and "ya'll" to confide in!!

Ladies,

Just checking to see how everyone is doing this week?

I'm continuing to look for a job, have sent out several resumes, have had one call, but they haven't called me back. I really don't know what is going on, I've never had this much trouble finding a job. I've been looking actively since February! I'm hoping I find a good job close to home so I don't have to deal with traffic, that totally stresses me out!

Went back to the church Sunday that I used to go to, it's a good church, but no services Wed night and I sure miss my church there in Chicago. Wed night was the highlight of my week! It's hard to just go from Sunday to Sunday with nothing in between so I'll look around and check out some other churches.

Hope everyone is having a good week and things are going well for you. When you have time update me Smile

On one of your posts on 3/28 you mentioned that my bf had no desire to serve me and I agreed.

There are a couple of issues that I see here -

Quote:
He's basically told me that there's nothing wrong with it and he's going to feed him the way he wants to.

- The needs of his dog are more important than you
- He will do as he darn well pleases, without consideration for your feelings
- He will not take care of the dog by combing it and giving it the supplements he needs due to laziness
- He's ignoring the things that bother you to show you who's in control
- Do you really want to be with someone who has no desire to put your needs above their own?

Some people treat their pets similar to children. He's neglecting his child and you do have a say in that.

I've had many dogs throughout the years and not once have I ever let a dog eat scraps off a plate, whether it goes in a dishwasher or not. That's so gross and what a dog dish is for!

Sit down with your BF, face to face, TV off and have a very honest talk about what you have just posted here. He needs to hear it again, and he needs to know that you're feelings are hurt, because he chooses to ignore your concerns. Let him know that keeping things clean and the dog hair down is important to you.

If he's going to continue to ignore your feelings and has no desire to serve you or sacrifice for you, then his level of spiritual maturity is severely lacking. There are more issues here than the dog. Maybe it's time to say goodbye to your BF.

Check with your church to see if there are any home groups or bible study groups during the week that will provide you with the midweek spiritual feeding you need.
