Dave, I agree. Can I tell you how many times I heard a prophecy that was way off?? I have heard some very negative ones that were just not of God, and I have heard "feel good" ones given to members of a congregation by thier own pastor (not to judge here, but maybe just to win favor...???). The prophecies that were spoken over Jason and myself were three seperate prophecies given to us by well respected pastors other than our own, and all three were almost word for word the same. First Jason was prophesied to be a great man for God, then a leader of the lost for God, and then a helper for God to reach the lost and sick. "Leader", and "reaching the lost/sick" was the common theme. This would make sense as he was out in the world for a while, a coke addict. Together with me, who didn't do drugs, but covered just about everything else (abuse, sex, drinking...) and we have a minisrty of our own that we could share with lost kids and young people. Also, my daughter has suffered from arthritis and I believe when she receives her healing, we will have a healing testimony as well.
You do have to be very careful when hearing a prophecy. If God wants you to hear something, I believe from experience, He will get that message to you loud and clear, probably from different sources, as you grow. |

- Dave is filled with the holy spirit and is on a Mission from God. I've learn to move over and let the pros do their work, I'm only a conduit for the boys upstairs. The Holy Spirit has permanent lodging inside, and seems to be taking up more and more space each day.
Plus, I'm inbetween jobs; what a great opportunity to spend time learning, enjoying, and relaxing on his creation and the Word. |

Yeah on the Holy Spirit. :p I too am recently on a learning curve when it comes to learning how to move over and let the H.S. make Himself known. With His indwelling, and me getting out of the way, it's...
awesome! , no,
words cannot express it!
Just a peace which I cannot explain.
in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Phil. 4:6-7.
Dave and Kelly,
Thanks for researching the topic, very useful for the body. No matter how many times I see a scripture, it always says something new to me, each and every time! GIC |
