Remember, dear, that an ordination is for man's benefit. I think of it as similar to the laying-on of the hands of the Apostles when they commissioned an evangelist. Or like the annointing with oil of a King.
There is no power in the ordination, really. We do not invoke Our Blessed Lord to behave a certain way toward the "ordainee", as if He were a genie in a bottle.
So, it matters not what man or men think. Just accept the nice ordination for what the recognition will do to enhance your work for the Master, and then move on, into the power of Our God. |
