| Recently Jason made a job change without seeking God first. I had my doubts about it, but he really needed to pray on it himself. He never did b/c he was promised a pay raise and that's what he was after (rightfully so). Well, the guy he's working for never did give him the raise, actually he cut his pay from what Jason was making at his old job. He is also very verbally abusive to his employees and his wife (who works there). He yells, curses, and puts down everybody over every small mistake. Jason has come home feeling a little beat up more than once. Jason is usually a very easy going guy, and the first few times this happened it was no big deal, he let it roll off his back. It has become a very stressful and hostile situation though recently. Jason told the guy that evenings and Sundays were out of the question when he took the job, yet he has been asked to work both evenings and Sundays in the past month. Jason did it a few times, but had to say "no" once or twice. Now, the other day as Jason was walking out the door for the day, he was asked to come back that night. I have been having a rough time of it lately with being in my last tri-mester and all, and for two weeks Jason said I could get my hair done (a treat for me). I finally made the arrangments and it was for the same night his boss wanted him to work, along with two dr.'s appt.'s for the kids (ear infections), and laundry (we have to go to the launndromat). He told his boss he couldn't come in that night, but he would come in at 5 the next morning instead. He was told "never mind". The next morning he got reamed out! His boss told him he couldn't handle the job and it wasn;t working out. He said he would keep Jason on for a little bit longer, but he had to find another job soon. BIG SIGH. Jason is stressed out now. Please pray for an open door, a new, better job, to be provided soon! We are falling behind as it as b/c of the paycut Jason took taking this job. We have to trust in God here to provide, please pray with us! Thank you! |

God bless you, my dear, you and yours.
Perhaps it's easier for me to think in stripped-down, rock-bottom terms like "He needed out of that job anyway!" and "The Lord will handle it", since I've been a Christian about 20 years.
Also, where I live, I know how to live off the land. I wouldn't want to have to, but I know what to dig up outside and what I can catch in the bayou. We wouldn't starve. We wouldn't enjoy dinner a whole lot, but we wouldn't starve!
Perhaps the most reassuring thing is that the church family would help if we needed it. Have you a church family right now? |
