Great question - I love it!
I feel He has already appointed our mates for us but allows us to make the final decision - hense divorce if we do not choose wisely.
Funny, it's the same process of making choices which He allows us to do in regards to following and accepting Him - hense separation if we do not choose wisely!
That's a very short answer, but I hope you get my gist.

| Does God have a specific house, school, church, job, car, etc. all picked out for us? No I don't think so. It would be no different with a spouse. We're given choices which fit into a moral property line - kind of like a fence around us. Within that fence are many choices that will fit into His plans for us. Its still the "free will" that He provides for us. I don't think he ever meant for us to be pieces on His chess board. |
