My husband called the founder of Faithful & True Ministries, Dr Mark Laaser. He called him on his own and emailed him. Dr. Laaser called him back, they played phone tag, but Today, at 4:00pm- they have a phone conference. Please pray that this will be a fruitful conversation and that the truth will set us both free. My husband is very open to whatever he has to say.
I am nervous....I'm afraid to get my hopes up again only to have them shattered. I'm sort of emotionally dead at this point anyway, so I'm not as encouraged by this as what I'd expected I may be. But regardless of how I feel, I pray God will use this today and help him, and help me be open to a true transformation & reconciliation if that is possible.
Thank you again Sam for posting this website, it is so full of help in this area.
Anyone who can pray for me, and especially for my husband today, I would be grateful. |

Lord, I lift this man and wife up to you today. May you provide the hope and direction they need through Faithful and True Ministries so that true transformation and healing can occur in each of them as individuals and in their marriage. In Christ's name.
Baby steps... each and every moment of the day.
Encourage your husband and give him extra hugs and praise just for making this phone call. As hard as it may be for the words to come from your heart to your mouth - encourage him and thank him - just for making this one phone call.
He needs to hear this from you. |

| God, please be with this couple, and with the person counseling the husband. Tell him what needs to be said and make the husband's heart soft and ready to receive and acknowledge what will be said to him. Shelter the wife in your hands and be the comfort and support that she needs in her spirit. Give her a calm spirit and send her people that will nurture, encourage and support her physically and emotionally. Amen. |

Thank you! Thank you for your prayers! The conversation went very well, it is just what he needed to hear and what to do from here on out. He is open to all of the input and is willing to proceed.
Praise Be to God. I now have hope- perhaps my journey is moving in a positive direction, and I will give him a chance to show he's truly changing. |

The Lord gives each one of us a journey, sometimes it's more painful than we would like , but there is always good that eventually comes out of it.
It provides us with a story - and through those stories we can share with others and provide them with hope too.
Maybe some day, this journey will be able to be used to help other couples and marriages in crisis with sexual addictions. You never know.
It allows us to empathize.
My prayers continue to be with you.
Yeah God for the babysteps!! |
